FENG SHUI

Picture
Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art dating back at least 4,000 years.  It works on arranging our lives in accordance with the forces of the universe and is rooted in an extraordinary sensitivity to nature.

The words Feng Shui literally mean Wind and Water.

By  understanding how natural energy flows around  us and our homes, we can arrange our house, our furniture and ourselves to find our most favourable location to either build our house, design our house or to place ourselves within any house we buy.

To best utilise the natural energies the ancient Chinese devised a Bagua which separates each place into 8 directional sectors, ie north, north-east, east, etc.  Each sector has assigned to it different life situations, ie marriage, career, wealth, family / health, etc and also body parts ie head, arm, stomach, etc,

Each sector also has an element attached.  The five elements embraced by Feng Shui are Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire.

Many other factors are also taken into consideration, including aspects of Astrology and Numerology,

The task of the Feng Shui consultant is to tie all of the relevant factors into a meaningful picture to the benefit of the client.  Recommendations are put to the client in the form of a written report. Cures are used to enhance the flow of positive Chi throughout the house or to overcome harmful Chi flowing from outside sources.

GEOMANCY

Geomancy is an extension of Feng Shui.  It is the art of locating stress lines flowing in or above the earth and the placing of ‘cures’ to change negative Chi into a positive Harmonious Chi.  When subtle energies of the Geomantic landscape are in balance and harmony they greatly support us.  When out of harmony they impinge on our
well-being and health ‘like a dragon nibbling at our toes’.

What then are some of these Geomantic energies?

Geological faults

Faults create enormous stresses on the earth and subsequently on our physical body, especially if we are living, working or sleeping on a fault line.

Geomagnetic faults

The earth’s geomagnetic field is the earth’s circulatory system, similar to our own system.  When this is in disharmony and passing through our home, our own system can also be thrown into disarray, affecting our ability to fight infection etc.

Ley lines

The invisible conscious thought lines that permeate that atmosphere constantly.  They can be happy positive lines, creating well-being or they can be negative, once again
affecting our environment.

Underground water

Water flows in underground fissures and fractures and projects an energy field to the surface.  Positive streams can be beneficial to our environment. Negative streams can be quite devastating. Sleeping over an underground stream, Positive or Negative, is bad Feng Shui.

Electromagnetic fields

Mains powered electrical appliances, meter boxes, power lines, TVs and microwave appliances ie cellular phones, are all of concern.  The proximity of seating and sleeping
arrangements in relation to these items is of prime importance to avoid debilitating effects on our body.

Grids

Hartmann and Currie grids are stress grids which are a great barometer of the good health or ill health of the energy zones of our immediate environment.

Psychic impressions and Presences

Under some circumstances, the space that our house or business occupies can ‘remember’ events, especially emotion charged ones that have taken place there.  This results in an area of mostly malign influence that continues to exert a negative influence on the occupants.

Where stress lines cross each other the effect is magnified.  The effect on the human body is increased if a long period of time is spent in that stress zone.  Examples of this are your  favourite TV chair and  that place you go to recharge - the bedroom. If your bed has intersecting negative lines affecting it, the chances of  a restful nights sleep is decreased.  Continuous exposure to these effects can severely limit your body’s ability to cope.

The good news is that Feng Shui and Geomancy can locate the areas of disharmony.  With appropriate ‘cures’ in place harmony can be restored to the site and the house.  Our bodies are now given a greater chance to cope with those stresses outside our retreat - our home. Any treatment we receive now has a better chance of success.
